“I can’t breathe!”

That’s what my mind was screaming continuously throughout the second, half hour class. When the burst of new energy that I’d arrived in the gym had faded. It had been a while. And though it was a respiratory fight, I made it to the end.

The high I feel when I finish a workout and motivational kick start is one I wish I could bottle up and take sips of throughout the days. You get a sense of an achievement. The feeling that you can do anything! Accomplish your goals: eat healthier; get fit (or die trying). It’s that first step.

Taking the first step in changing your life is exhilarating. I’m glad I was able to experience that joy today.
